Self-paced"The best engineers I've worked with didn't just have strong degrees — they knew how to communicate value and navigate industry from day one."
Meet the Founder
I'm a Chartered Engineer and Senior R&D Engineer at Synopsys, with a PhD from the University of Manchester in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I've spent over 15 years working at the intersection of advanced materials, simulation, and product development.
Make IT STEM grew out of something I kept seeing: talented graduates who had strong technical foundations but struggled to translate that into the confidence, communication skills, and strategic thinking that employers actually look for. I started mentoring informally, then realised this gap needed a dedicated, structured approach.
Today I help students and early-career engineers bridge that gap — combining real industry insight with personalised mentoring that goes far beyond generic careers advice.
Results
Real outcomes from engineers who've been through the programme.
"Giuseppe helped me completely rethink how I presented my skills. Within two months I had three interviews and landed a graduate role in simulation engineering. His industry perspective made all the difference."
"The mentoring sessions gave me a clear roadmap I didn't have before. Giuseppe doesn't just give advice — he challenges you to think strategically about your career in a way university never did."
"I was struggling to get past the application stage despite a strong academic record. Giuseppe's structured approach to CV writing and interview preparation transformed my confidence and my results."
